Introducing the Justgiving widget

Our first step towards delighting fundraisers in 2007 is the launch of the Justgiving widget.

This a mini version of an online fundraising page which fundraisers can put anywhere online, from blogs to web pages. It’s a great new way for your supporters to spread the word about their fundraising page.

WidgetThe widget (see left) has a little graphic that automatically updates whenever someone makes a donation to a fundraising page so people can keep track of a person's fundraising progress. The widget links directly to a fundraising page so people can easily visit to add their own donation. See one in action here.

The widget is more engaging than a simple web link and fundraisers are responding well to the idea.

People can easily get hold of a Justgiving widget by logging on to the account they created with Justgiving when they set up their fundraising page. We simply provide them with some free code which they can copy and paste onto a web page, blog or forum of their choice.

We think this is a great tool for fundraisers, we hope you like it. If you have any comments or other ideas for fundraiser tools, please email us.

Sounds like a great idea. Do you have anything similar that could be put in the signature line of an email at all?
