Tim's hardest task yet

Tim_0037e1 Gosh, am I the only one who can't wait to get stuck into the second series of The Apprentice? I was completely hooked last year and really happy to see all around hard working good guy Tim Campbell win the coveted job working for Sir Alan Sugar.

So what's Tim up to now? In addition to working for Sir Alan he's also taking on a huge challenge-- running the London Marathon for the NSPCC!

You can sponsor Tim here. Go Tim go!

The Ubiquitous Friday Post

It's a relatively quiet day here at JG towers, probably because Derrick 'the Destroyer' isn't in today, reducing ambient noise to an almost acceptable level. However Molly has been at the centre of all the action:

"The office is like something out of the Little Shop of Horrors! I was busy chatting to a charity on the phone when suddenly my plant attacked me and I screamed! Which was a bit embarrassing.
The flowers had made it so top heavy that it fell over. One stem snaped off and a bud from the other stem fell off. I’m so upset I was so proud of it and now it’s in 3 bits."

And here's the unfortunate photographic evidence:

And here's the grisly aftermath:

As you can see, Zarine's coffee cup now has an important new function.

While you're here, check out Michelle Thomas' marathon page for NCH. She's our fundraiser of the month and she's going to be on the telly soon!

Have a great weekend everyone...

Contender.......READY! Gladiator.......READY!

Glad Jules was a bit shocked today during his photo uploads.

None other than Mark 'Rhino' Smith from the awesome mid-90s leotard-fest Gladiators has built one of our fancy London Marathon branded fundraising pages! He's taking part in his first marathon ever and is raising funds for Saving Faces. Sadly I don't think Jet is joining him but we all wish him the best of luck!

In other news Jonno has uploaded nearly thirty charities so far this month, marathon fundraising fever is truly upon us!

As you can see, Rhino isn't a fan of shirts so I'd go and sponsor him if I was you...

Greeting the 500

Jonathan_ross If you've been reading the London Metro recently you might've come across the story of Jules Segal-- an ordinary guy who is currently on a quest to meet and greet 500 (yes 500!) celebrities.

His challenge, unsurprisingly, came from an idea hatched during a night at the pub with his friend Michael, who dared him to contact 500 celebs to see if they would be available for a meet and greet photo-op. The two came up with a list of 500 who they'd like to meet and then it got serious-- Michael bet Jules that he couldn't meet 20% (or 100 of the 500 celebs) between the 1st of July and the 14th of Feburary.

Jules took up the challenge and also made it into a fundraiser for RNIB-- he asks the celebs for items that he can add to a charity auction at the end of the project. And he's set up a fundraising page where you can sponsor his quest. He's got 11 days left to hit the target-- good luck Jules!

You can follow Jules' progress on his Greeting the 500 Blog-- and you can sponsor him on his Justgiving fundraising page.

February's Fundraiser of the Month

Michelle_big Our Fundraiser of the Month for February is Michelle Thomas.

In a desire to get fit and totally change her lifestyle, Michelle is going to run the Flora London Marathon on April 23. What's more, she's going to be part of a BBC documentary following 16 marathon runners as they go from never having run to hopefully completing the famous 26.2 mile route.

Read her story here. Visit her page and sponsor her here.

If you want to nominate someone as a future Fundraiser of the Month, please drop us an email at community@justgiving.com or post details in our forum.

Good luck Michelle, from everyone here at JG Towers!
