Expo Insanity

We're down in the dark rear corner of docklands for the annual London Marathon expo; basically we're still embarrassed that Nike have a bigger stand than us, but nevermind.

I just thought I'd share the following piccies of various JG team members cavorting with the legendary Captain Beanie

enjoy...

Expo1

Tom, Beanie, James v2.0 (on his second day as new marketing monkey he didn't expect to be talking to a human baked bean)

Expo2

This is me with the legend. Apologies for bad lighting but you can't see my face which is probably a good thing.

Expo3

Molly won't be single for long now...

26 marathons in 26 days!

Running_ray_1 Most London Marathon runners would be happy to get around the course just once. Not Stafford paramedic Ray Edensor! Ray is running 26 marathons in 26 days, in the lead up to the London Marathon itself. And if that wasn't difficult enough, he's running every day in his paramedic uniform, laden down with a 26 pound rucksack. Wow.

Ray's first marathon was on the 28th of March, which means that he's nearly halfway there now. His challenge ends on the 23rd of April when he joins 30,000 other runners in the London Marathon. Meanwhile, he's pounding the pavement between Greenwich to the Mall every day.

His huge effort is to raise money for Dreams Come True, a charity that helps realise the dreams and ambitions of seriously and terminally ill children.

You can sponsor Ray's amazing challenge here: http://www.justgiving.com/rayedensor

Fundraiser of the month, April 2006

Alison_mitchell Our Fundraiser of the Month for April is Alison Mitchell.

For 10 days she'll join a group of people walking the ancient Inca trail in Peru, climbing to an altitude of 4,400 metres.

It will be a physical and mental challenge but she has decided to use the experience to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), a charity that works to raise awareness of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome, in memory of her fiancé Adam.

Read her story here. Visit her page and sponsor her here.

If you want to nominate someone as a future Fundraiser of the Month, please drop us an email at community@justgiving.com or post details in our forum.

Good luck Alison, from all of us at Justgiving!
